What will you do when the lights go out?  (Click at left)

Just 3 minutes of pumping charges the internal battery to yield 25 minutes of bright, slightly blue light. This flashlight will still work after decades of storage, no need to worry about dead batteries - ever.  It has a reflector to focus the beam of light, and a Fresnel lens to further concentrate the beam, giving a nice, round spot beam that is strong enough without being overpowering.

All previous hand pump flashlights were almost novelty items - pump like mad if you wanted light, and if you quit pumping, the light went out!  They also had cheap cast metal gears hinged in the front, so pumping was hard on your hand as well as noisy.  The LED hand pump flashlight has sturdy nylon gears and pumps straight up, so pumping is very easy.  And 3 minutes of pumping gives you 25 minutes of light!!!

The light on the left is a BayGen FreePlay handcrank light...the light output is feeble, and it cost $70.00!!! On the right is a standard 2 "D" cell Ray-O-Vac "Workhorse" with 2 alkaline batteries.  In the middle is the LED flashlight; it weighs only 5 1/4 ounces, is 6" long and is 2 1/2" wide - and the super bright LED flashlight obviously projects the best light!    See the enlarged comparison below. Order an LED flashlight now!  Click here.

LED light is not reflective, so this LED flashlight can be used as a work light or walking in the woods without reflecting off water or other shiny surfaces. LED light also provides full power light, unlike normal incandescent lights which weaken as the power drains from the battery.  The ergonomic shape of the flashlight instinctively points the light down in front of you, so walking is easy and there is no strain on the wrist with prolonged use.  If stranded at night, this is the one flashlight on which you can depend to work for you year after year.

If the electric power goes off and you are prepared, you already have a kerosene heater and kerosene lamps for long term use.  But how do you fill them with kerosene and light them in the dark?  Just pump this flashlight for 3 minutes, turn on the LED light, and lay it down to illuminate your work - it keeps a steady light for 25 minutes without being touched.

If you have to hike out to evacuate, this LED light will provide more than enough light to see your way clearly, but the non reflective LED light will not reflect off wet leaves or puddles of water to reveal your location inadvertently.  The green camouflage pattern and the ability to provide continuous light makes this LED flashlight virtually mandatory for survival use.

Every home should have at least one of these 50,000 hour LED flashlights - and one should be in every vehicle for emergencies.  See the "real world" comparison below."

  • The photo above was taken in a dim room without using a flash.  The light on the left is a BayGen FreePlay handcranked light.  It weighs 4 pounds, 1 1/4 ounces, is 9 1/2" long and 6" high, the light output is feeble at best, and it cost $70.00!!!  On the right is a standard 2 "D" cell Ray-O-Vac "Workhorse" flashlight with 2 alkaline batteries; it weighs 13 1/2 ounces and is 7" long and 2 1/2" wide, and even at that short distance the light is not focused properly.  In the middle is the LED flashlight; it weighs 5 1/4 ounces, is 6" long and is 2 1/2" wide - and it obviously has the most focused and best light output!

THE SUPER BRIGHT LED LIGHT IS CLEARLY THE BEST FLASHLIGHT!!!

I recently purchased two flashlights and two radios from your store. Something has been telling me recently to prepare for the worst. Well guess what-- Hurricane Katrina! We live out in the country near Hattiesburg, MS., about 80 miles north of Gulfport and we had category 2 winds that toppled huge trees and tore down power lines and ruined houses and businesses. The flashlights were great! We could give them to our grandchildren and not have to worry about the batteries running out. We also used the radios because I did not realize that all the radio stations and the TV station would go down locally.  We had storm damage but nothing that can't be fixed. Two of my children that live on the coast lost everything.               Sally   Sept. 13, 2005

....The Wick Shop has sent you a package...."And what a package I received!!!!  After purchasing several L. E. D. flashlights to be used at work, this one produces a superior "quality" of light, even from those I paid higher prices to own.  The radio is much more than I expected and I am impressed, which is not an easy thing to do.  Thanks we'll do business again!            Rich   Sept. 8, 2005

I ordered a couple of lights from you before and my wife and I love them. They work as well as advertised so we are going to start giving them as gifts. Your site has been a great help to us, thank you!  Nathan

A Fun way to spend an evening with the grand kids. I said it before and say it now " you did good"  Thanks much, Curtis

I have just received the latest addition from Miles' Survival Shop supplies - the LED battery free flashlight. Without doubt and hesitation it is FANTASTIC.

I already have two hand wind flashlights - they are big, difficult to manage and the light fades almost straight away... terrible things.

Miles flashlights on the other hand is very different. Here are my thoughts.

    1. It is about half the size of a normal family flashlight.

    2. Weight is hard to believe, it's sooo light, just a few ounces.

    3. I am getting one to keep in each of the glove compartments of our cars. Living in the country we need a good flashlight if we breakdown in the pitch black nights.

    4. This is by far the best flashlight I have seen for those who go camping or hiking overnight.

    5. If you travel and stay in various hotels/motels then this flashlight would be ideal as it saves having to work out how lamps and lights work in the dark.

    6. A huge advantage is the ergonomic design, you can hold it very comfortably in your hand while at the same time add on a couple of extra pumps.

    7. The light NEVER fades, it is always bright or just stops, only a few pumps bring it back for a few minutes.

    8. It is a LED light so the kids can pretend they are playing CSI:) (Ooops now you know I did).

    9. If you have kids that travel away from home to camps etc then this would be something they can easily pack and I am sure they will use it.

    10. The only disadvantage I have found is that I now have to fight to use it as everyone else has fallen in love with it and wants to keep using it :)
